Welcome to Your New Home and Community! The Mt. Pleasant Housing Commission offers safe, affordable, subsidized hosing for you or your family.  Please be a considerate neighbor while you’re here and I strongly encourage you to participate in all of the activities the Housing Commission has to offer. The Resident’s Council is the perfect forum to express your ideas and work in cooperation with the Housing Commission to continually improve the property you live in.

Don’t forget, we’re here to help you economically as well. We have certain programs like the Earned Income Disallowance Program that can make it easier for a household to save up for the purchase of their own home. Inquire about it to see if you qualify. Remember, your income changes must be reported to make sure you aren’t paying too much rent. See your lease for details. Maybe you’re interested in advancing your education; let us explain the types of income are excluded when figuring your rent. If you have any needs, please contact the office. 

A BIG THANK YOU TO THE PAR PLAN!  THEY ARE THE INSURANCE CARRIER FOR THE HOUSING COMMISSION AND THEY AWARDED THE HOUSING COMMISSION WITH A GRANT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A GUARDRAIL IN OUR PARKING LOT FROM THEIR RISK REDUCTION GRANT PROGRAM!  We really appreciate it!
